keep warm and well fed,\u201d but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?<strong><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.\u00bb.<\/em><em> (James 2: 15-17) <\/em><\/p><p><em>William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army wrote: <\/em><\/p><p><em>\u00ab<\/em><em>While women weep, as they do now,I&#8217;ll fight<br \/>While little children go hungry, as they do now,\u00a0<br \/>I&#8217;ll fight<br \/>While men go to prison, in and out, in and out, as they do now,\u00a0<br \/>I&#8217;ll fight<br \/>While there is a drunkard left,\u00a0While there is a poor lost girl upon the streets,\u00a0While there emains one dark soul without the light of God,\u00a0I&#8217;ll fight-I&#8217;ll fight to the very end!\u00bb \u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p><em>Thus, as the officers of the Salvation Army we are ready to help suffering humanity and extend a helping hand to people regardless of their religious or national identity<\/em><em> throughout Georgian Region.<\/em><\/p><p><em>As part of social projects, we helped the Dusheti <\/em><em>Disability\u00a0Alliance with food, warm blankets and clothes, we also distributed a bag of flour to the residents of the village of Barisakho.<\/em><\/p><p><em>Through the social program of the Salvation Army, we helped the pensioners in Tkibuli and the local <\/em><em>Disability\u00a0Alliance &#8211; we provided it with warm jackets, foodstuffs and basic personal hygiene items. <\/em><\/p><p><em>We\u00a0 actively cooperate with the Za<\/em><em>staphoni<\/em><em> humanitarian organization \u201cKatarsis\u201d and distributed warm jackets, foodstuffs and personal hygiene <\/em><em>items <\/em><em>to children in need.<\/em><\/p><p><em>Besides, the Salvation Army helped the Khurvaleti Elderly Center &#8211;<\/em><em> at Christmas \u201cHouse without Borders\u201d (this is the name is of the center) received food, <\/em><em>personal hygiene <\/em><em>items and fixing dentures Korega gel.<\/em><\/p><p><em>In Shavshvebi, the Salvation Army helped with the repair of the bathroom <\/em><em>in a <\/em><em>family-type children\u2019s\u00a0home<\/em> <em>&#8211; all the equipment was purchased<\/em><em> for the bathroom.<\/em><\/p><p><em>We also cooperate with various NGOs, charitable organizations and Orthodox ministers.<\/em><\/p><p><em>\u00a0The Salvation Army does not forget about the people who suffered from natural disasters, the people who suffered from the floods in Tbilisi were <\/em><em>provided with <\/em><em>household tools: dishes, warm blankets, bed linen. We distributed warm blankets, flour and other foodstuffs to the population in \u00a0Lagodekhi which also became the victims of the serious disaster.<\/em><\/p><p><em>During the <\/em><em>war of <\/em><em>2008, the Salvation Army actively assisted refugees with food and clothing. <\/em><\/p><p><em>The Salvation Army does not neglect the homeless &#8211; our volunteers regularly distribute hot tea and dinner in the streets of Tbilisi at night.<\/em><\/p><p><em>\u00a0With God&#8217;s help and with charitable support from people, the Salvation Army is ready to extend a helping hand to people in need.
