In the late Friday evening in a\u00a0small\u00a0kitchen,\u00a0The Salvation Army officers\u00a0and the\u00a0soldier,\u00a0Levan,\u00a0Nino\u00a0and\u00a0Pavle\u00a0are getting ready for the night trip to Tbilisi.\u00a0Nino\u00a0is\u00a0taking care\u00a0of the\u00a0meal\u00a0while\u00a0Capt. Levan\u00a0and\u00a0Pavle\u00a0are\u00a0dividing\u00a0the hot mean in the\u00a0containers.\u00a0There is\u00a0also\u00a0a huge thermos filled with\u00a0tea.<\/p>

The\u00a0car\u00a0is\u00a0loaded, and\u00a0the\u00a0rod\u00a0leads\u00a0us to\u00a0Kote\u00a0Abkhazi\u00a0Street.\u00a0As\u00a0Major\u00a0Nino\u00a0explains\u00a0to me,\u00a0they\u00a0know\u00a0the\u00a0homeless\u00a0people in this\u00a0trajectory\u00a0as\u00a0they\u00a0got\u00a0meal\u00a0the first place\u00a0every\u00a0night\u00a0in previous years.\u00a0It is\u00a0already\u00a0ten\u00a0years The Salvation Army\u00a0volunteers\u2019 takes turns\u00a0at\u00a0nights\u00a0to carry out daily\u00a0night\u00a0meals in the\u00a0cold\u00a0streets of the\u00a0city.<\/p>


Today\u00a0is\u00a0the first\u00a0day\u00a0they\u00a0went out to the\u00a0well-known\u00a0streets.\u00a0Offering hot meals and tea to the homeless usually lasts at least until 1 AM.\u00a0They\u00a0know\u00a0those\u00a0people\u00a0by their\u00a0names\u00a0and make friends among them.\u00a0Sometimes\u00a0they\u00a0even\u00a0manage to offer jam to the\u00a0people\u00a0who\u00a0miss\u00a0its\u00a0taste.\u00a0They\u00a0had\u00a0such a\u00a0case\u00a0when\u00a0they\u00a0prepared\u00a0Chikirtma\u00a0(Chicken\u00a0soup)\u00a0and\u00a0made\u00a0one\u00a0very\u00a0happy\u00a0tasty evening for them.\u00a0Nino\u00a0shares that it is important for her that\u00a0people\u00a0see\u00a0Christ through\u00a0action.\u00a0She\u00a0worries\u00a0that\u00a0much\u00a0can be\u00a0done\u00a0if\u00a0they\u00a0had\u00a0support\u00a0from the\u00a0government.\u00a0He\u00a0wished\u00a0that the\u00a0homeless\u00a0had\u00a0the\u00a0shelter\u00a0in Tbilisi, where those\u00a0homeless\u00a0would\u00a0live\u00a0they had met personally last ten years.<\/p>


Captain\u00a0Rezo\u00a0and\u00a0Salvation Army volunteers, Maya and Diana,\u00a0start\u00a0their\u00a0ministry\u00a0on Saturday afternoon.\u00a0This time they have the list of needy people who need special help in the time of the pandemic.\u00a0The car is loaded again – the trunk is full of different products to deliver and distributed among the houses.\u00a0They\u00a0compiled\u00a0the\u00a0list\u00a0from the multiple sources.\u00a0Some\u00a0they\u00a0know\u00a0from TV reports and now\u00a0they\u00a0are ready to offer help;\u00a0some\u00a0people\u00a0contacted\u00a0to the Salvation Army by themselves;\u00a0some\u00a0are\u00a0those who\u00a0come\u00a0to their\u00a0church\u00a0and the\u00a0church\u00a0is aware of their\u00a0needs.<\/p>


Sunday morning\u00a0begins\u00a0with Worship Service.\u00a0Every\u00a0visitors\u2019\u00a0temperature\u00a0checked\u00a0by the\u00a0door, and only after that they can\u00a0sit\u00a0and ready to\u00a0listen\u00a0to the\u00a0preacher.\u00a0Together\u00a0they\u00a0read\u00a0passages\u00a0from the\u00a0Bible,\u00a0testify\u00a0and worship God with\u00a0hymns\u00a0…\u00a0The\u00a0hymns\u00a0are accompanied by various musical instruments,\u00a0guitars,\u00a0drums\u00a0and\u00a0vocals.<\/p>


Sunday evening\u00a0dedicated\u00a0to the\u00a0youth.\u00a0The\u00a0format\u00a0of this meeting is similar as morning service;\u00a0the different\u00a0is\u00a0that the\u00a0topics\u00a0of the\u00a0conversation\u00a0is\u00a0relevant to\u00a0young\u00a0people.\u00a0For\u00a0example,\u00a0today\u00a0the\u00a0main\u00a0topic\u00a0is\u00a0Depression and the Ways to Overcome It as it\u00a0is\u00a0the\u00a0one\u00a0of the\u00a0problems\u00a0for\u00a0teenagers.\u00a0The\u00a0meeting\u00a0continued with\u00a0game, where\u00a0youth\u00a0divided in to the\u00a0small\u00a0teams and played \u201cWhat?\u00a0Where?\u00a0When?\u201dtype\u00a0of game.\u00a0<\/p>
