«Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.» (Proverbs 22:6)

Since earliest times, young people were the driving force of the Church. With the help of youth and various activities, both within the Church and outside it, many people changed radically and turned to Christ. Due to the aforementioned ministry, young people learn about God’s will and dedicate their lives to the Lord.

Youth ministry takes place in the churches of the Salvation Army every week, the regional youth meeting is held in the region once every three months. The question may be asked why youth ministry is so important in the church? The answer is that: God attaches special importance to the fact that it is necessary to acquaint children and young people with the word of God from an early age and attributes a special role to churches and parents in this issue: « Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.» (Deuteronomy 11:19).

The format of the youth ministry bears similarity to the  weekly Sunday service, but with an insignificant difference, which consists in discussing various topics and conducting discussions on many issues with young people. The main goal of these activities is to provide learning opportunities for  young people to communicate with one another, to serve, to discover their talents, above all, to find their calling in the Lord Jesus Christ.

However, youth ministry is not limited to the above possibilities of its conduct. The best way to get acquainted and to bring people closer together  is to spend time in joint camping trips, a picnic, sports games, in excursions to different cities and to participate in various events. Many young people repented of their sins and found the Lord during  the summer camp time.

Children’s and youth summer camps are an integral part of this ministry and we deeply believe that God uses that time in a special way to change the habits of young people, to guide them and strengthen their faith. Many young people repented of their sins and found the Lord during  the summer camp time.

It never gets boring when serving God!  It allows you to save joy and a renewed life. This is the way for each person to dream first, and then with the help of God to put his plans into practice.
